Should You Eat It? [CK’s REASON]

Q: What is the first thing you think about in the Morning?

A: Write down your answers!

Looking at what you wrote down should help you figure out what is important to you in your life and where your priorities are. Whether you have listed work, fitness, your family, friends, etc….one thing will be common to all these things. Have you guessed it yet? …Well, maybe it’s a tricky one. The answer i’m digging for is Energy. You require energy to get through the day and perform at your best or to perform at all. Food is the fuel for our bodies and most importantly our minds!

Today in this post I will explain some of the reason i’ve learn’t or researched to why breakfast is important for your body and in particular losing weight. There is nothing that makes me cringe more than somebody saying they skipped breakfast because they are on a diet or losing weight…It just couldn’t be more backwards!

WHY TO EAT BREAKFAST?

Breakfast is the most important part of the day. We have heard it so many times, but its true…especially when you are trying to maintain weight or lose weight. Another exercise – write down the reasons why you should skip breakfast and then why you should not skip. Did you have more good reasons to eat breakfast than to skip it? There are no avoidable or good reasons to skip breakfast!

If you want to avoid feeling hungry, deprived and sluggish throughout the day and if you want to lose more weight, then consider these reasons why eating breakfast can help you lose the weight, increase energy and help to keep you satisfied throughout the day.

It Fuels Your Body

When you eat breakfast in the morning, you are providing your body with the needed fuel to get through the stresses and activities until lunch time. Since you are essentially fasting while you sleep, your body looks for sources of fuel.

Even a small breakfast is better than nothing, so a cup of yogurt will do. However, consider providing your body with plenty of fuel to get you through the morning and you will feel happier, fuller and energized until lunch time.

It Keeps You Motivated

Eating a nutritious meal in the morning can provide you with enough energy to feel ready for a workout, and exercise helps to boost your metabolism all day long.   Try eating breakfast and working out in the morning, you’ll find that you might even have enough energy to get in a nice afternoon walk during lunch.

It Provides a Foundation

Eating breakfast is a good way to set the tone for the day. This is one reason it’s so important to make healthy choices when preparing your meals. If you choose to eat high fat breakfast products like sausage, bacon or hash browns, you run the risk of craving even more junk food when lunch time rolls around. This is for a couple of reasons. The first is because processed, fatty foods don’t do a good job of keeping your body fueled. The second is because high fat and processed foods always leave you wanting more.

So above are just a few of the reasons why you should it breakfast. But you really have to want it yourself before you are successful at making it a routine and something you cannot start your day without. For those of you who do currently start your day with breakfast I am sure you couldn’t imagine beginning your day in any other way. For those of you who don’t…what do you have to lose? Try it out. Make a point of eating breakfast everyday this week! Set that Goal! Let us know how your week goes…
