WHY EXERCISE & LIVE HEALTHY?

Why do we exercise and make healthy choices? To look great? Feel great? For the fun of it? Sport Specific Training? To impress the guys/ladies? Whatever the reason or motivation one thing is forsure: “The habit of exercising and living healthy will improve the quality of your life unlike anything else!!”

I’m not sure about everyone else, but as I grow old I want to stay active for as long as humanly possible! To accomplish this goal it’s critical to keep physically fit, in good health, and build healthy lifestyle habit now. It all comes down to creating the healthy habits and lifestyle that will keep you fit and enjoying all years to the MAX.

How many old people over 70 do you see smoking? Even if unhealthy eating habits, drinking habits,  or other unhealthy lifestyle habits don’t kill you, they are sure to slow you down and limit what you are able to do. Point of all this being…having healthy lifestyle habits will lead to not only a longer life, but a higher quality of life.

WHAT INSPIRED THIS POST?

After class at the WFCU last week there was a group of older people playing volleyball. They were having a great time. Socializing, Moving Around, and Enjoying life. It was really nice to see. Talking to these people you learn that they have been staying active for years and that is there secret to being in such great shape now. All of the body’s systems deteriorate with age, but much of that can be attributed to a lack of physical activity. Avoid being disabled or held back by physical limitations as you get older. Exercise can slow the breakdown. Being active will help you live well.  USE IT OR LOSE IT!
