Let’s Get Shredded – My 8 week workout program
For the next 8 weeks I’m on an intense training routine and will be tip top on my nutrition intake. I’m going to share with you some of my workouts through videos and my workout programs I write for myself. I will share how I am eating and the results I am having.
I am asked more often then not by my clients “Danielle, How do you eat?… how do you train yourself?” So it’s about time I share what I do on a regular basis.
I love lifting weights, it’s not for everyone but I hit the gym 5 days a week breaking up the body parts to make sure I train them all. I do legs & butt twice a week, not just because it’s my favourite workout to train but your legs and butt are your biggest muscles on your body so they burn the most calories while training. As a 30 year old women, my booty and legs don’t just keep shape on their own anymore, so I found that training them twice a week hard with heavy weights gives me the results I need. This doesn’t count the Adrenaline training I do throughout the week on my own or our UnLeash classes.
Now I took some before pictures because for the past 2-3 months I have been putting my training a little more on the back burner then usual. CK and I have been dedicating most of our time to creating AXFIT.COM from the ground up, that I have been slacking on my training a little. I am really happy with how the site is growing and we have a lot planned for 2013, but now and for the next 8 weeks I decided to dedicate a little more time to ME and my Body!!
So these are my before pictures and my goal is to tighten up my core, legs and butt. I’d like to tone my arms up just a tad but like them to still look girlie.
Stop and take some before photos of yourself too, write down your goals and join me on my 8 week “Let’s get Shredded” program. Now don’t forget it”s important to feel happy and healthy on the inside too, you will never get the results you want if your not strong, confident and proud of what you do everyday. So let’s do this.. let’s make some changes inside-out!!
Here’s my Day 1 workout routine: LEGS , LOWER BACK & SHOULDERS

CK and I just joined Precision Fitness in Riverside and I love it there, it’s the exact kind of vibe I like in a gym and they have some great old school machines that you miss in some of these new joints. 😀 I’m really looking forward to training hard there, excited about every workout! Feels good to be back in the zone!!
Sometimes I do the Leg press machine after my Cleans (second exercise) just depends on how I feel that day. I also like to add in burpees, quick feet and other Adrenaline training style drills in between exercises to get my heart rate up and burning extra calories. It also keeps it fun and really kicks up your training to a new level. You will NEVER see me just standing around for minutes in between sets.
The video below will show you some of these drills with a barbell, I always add in dead lifts after my cleans and some rows and bi curls too. Since I only have 1 big arm day for my bi’s and tri’s a week, I try to add in some curls and what not on other training days. The 1 leg dead lifts are AMAZING, they are a must for all women :D, great for toning your back and lifting that booty!

I am not sure if you know this but I am a Chocoholic, always have been always will be! It’s funny because I am lactose intolerant, but I swear my mind, body and soul need chocolate everyday! Just typing about it makes me want it.. OH NO!! Ok, so I am usually good for buying this 70% Cacao bar on grocery day and I will only have 2 pieces a day. One in the morning after breakfast and one a night after dinner. This keeps me from stopping at a store and gobbling down my favourite Raisin & nut Dairy Milk bar in the car. SO FOR THE NEXT 8 WEEKS I WILL STICK TO THIS and only eat 2 squares of my 70% Cacao bar and thats it. I won’t lie this will be hard for me but if I’m going to “get shredded” I can’t cheat with this or anything else for that matter.
