Health Benefits of Bee Pollen – Mother Natures Powerhouse

My friend Rachel brought me in a tub of  pure Bee Pollen to class today.  So I thought it would be great to blog about it so we can all learn the benefits from it.  I am interested to see how it will make me feel and to learn what great things it actually does for my body.

Bee Pollen

Bee pollen is the pollen from a flower,  that these honey bees gather and bring back to their hives.  Pollen grains are microscopic in size and the bees collect millions of these individual grains and connect them with nectar to make small pellets.  That’s amazing if you ask me, how cool that we get to enjoy such a delicacy .  We live like kings and queens in this modern world, anything you want you can have, here’s a perfect example of that.

It’s amazing  how important Bee’s our in our world, they play a key role in the food chain that’s for sure.

Bee pollen is a rich source of high-quality protein.   Bee pollen is more rich in proteins than any animal source. It contains more amino acids than beef, eggs, or cheese of equal it’s weight.  Bee pollen contains all essential amino acids.  Its high levels of protein and amino acids make it a great strength builder and brain food.  Just packed with a bunch of amino acids, if you google it you will be surprised the amount of amino acids and minerals these little pellets pack in them.  Ok and if that’s not enough good stuff for you then you will be happy to know Bee pollen also carries vitamin A, B, C and E.

I’m so excited to get on this shit!!

To be honest, I am quit infatuated by Bee’s right now, I even feel like watching that Bee movie, that animated one.  haha Bee’s are probably the most hard working species on the planet.

Here are most of the benefits I came across well researching online.   I Read a lot of different sites, got all the soources I can to share with you guys.. haha let me do the dirty work you just read and learn.

  • Increases energy and stamina.
  • Increase muscle growth and definition.
  • Builds immune system.
  • Has antioxidant activity.
  • Enhances sexuality.
  • Smoothes wrinkles.
  • Improves Skin , hair , nails.
  • nourish the brain and nervous system

Start by using 1-3 tablespoons of bee pollen each day , increase serving if desired after 2 weeks. If you have allergies to pollen you may want to start with using a very small amount to see if it effects you or even talk to your Doctor about it first.  I would recommend maybe 1/4 of a teaspoon for a few days to see if you have any side effects.  For children I read that having just 3-4 pellets a day for the first week is best and slowly add a few more pellets to their serving.

This stuff is packed with a punch of minerals, amino acids and vitamins.  It’s like nothing else out there so take it slow and let your body adjust.

  • Blend into your smoothies
  • Mix with raw honey
  • Add to your tea’s
  • Take in Capsule form
  • Mix in your yogurt, cereal, oatmeal
  • Add it to your baking
  • In pancake batter, cookies or scrambled eggs
  • sprinkle it on anything.

I recommend storing your pure Bee Pollen in the fridge or freezer, you don’t want any moisture getting in and creating mold.  If you have it in a capsule form then store in a cool, dry cupboard.
