CAMO: Not just for COMBAT

Camo print has been around for many, many years, primarily associated with combat in the army.  We did see a trend of this print surface about 10 years ago, however, was short lived. Camo is back and done in the RIGHT way this time. Designers have made it available in hats, accessories, tops, jeans, skirts, scarves, umbrellas, shoes and jackets.

Wearing this print can be tricky! The key of pulling this look off without overkill, is to ONLY wear ONE piece at a time in this print.

Examples:

Camo hat + plain white shirt + jeans

Camo shirt + jean shorts

Camo skirt + plain black top

Another way they have made this print more versitile is by using different styles of this print to achieve certain looks. Bigger, chunkier versions of camo are best used in casual pieces, such as t-shirts, hats and pants. Smaller, more muted styles look best used in dressier pieces, such as blouses, skirts and purses.

Here, I used this look by pairing a casual camo print t-shirt with black jeans, simple accessories and a scarf.
